Binder did create POWER capable M12 Connectors!
Until now it hadn‘t been possible to connect power cables to field wireable M12 connectors because the clamps were limited to a maximum cross section of 0,75 mm² and an outlet diameter of 8 mm.
Now the new straight and angled versions can clamp a 1,5 mm² cross section without and with ferrules and the outlet reaches from 8 up to 10 mm.
It is also possible to conduct 8 A (A-coding) and 12 A (S- and T-coding) per contact in an environmental temperature of 40°C.
In order to reduce the transfer resistance and the lost heat value the contacts have got gold plated contacts.
With the panel mount connectors having screw clamp terminals and M20 x 1,5 fixing threads the user has got the option of selecting his own single wires/cables for his special needs.
To complete the A-coded versions, panel mount connectors with PG 9 and M16 x 1,5 thread and AWG 18 wires are available.
The A-coded connectors are intermateable with all 4 and 5 pole versions which are in accordance with DIN EN61076-2-101.
S- and T-coded panel mount connectors include field-wireable versions with screw contacts with M20 x 1.5 fixing thread and their housing are made of plastic with the S-coded versions to meet the high requirements regarding voltage. When mounting them 4 different positions are possible. And 1.5 mm² single wire versions in standard housings with M16 x 1.5 fixing thread.
They are fastened to the customer housing, similar to other codings.
All field-wireable versions and codings can be adjusted at an angle of 4 x 90° and have an anti-torsion safety device with 13.5 mm size on the mounting side. The standard wire length is 200 mm.
Versions with other housing contours and with dip-solder contacts are under preparation.
