Optimised Assembly for M12 Connectors

At the same time, requirements for safe, consistent and high-quality field assembly are continuously increasing. binder addresses these demands with a smart design enhancement: the coupling rings of moulded, shielded M12 connectors will now feature a combination of knurling and hexagonal geometry.

Unlike the previous design, the new geometry now allows for assembly using a tool, such as a torque wrench. Users benefit from increased process reliability and consistently high assembly quality, especially in applications where controlled tightening is crucial.

This design update directly reflects market demands: in many industrial environments, standardised and traceable assembly processes are becoming essential. By integrating a hexagonal feature, the connectors can now be tightened in a controlled manner, meeting common industrial specifications.

At the same time, binder enhances consistency across its portfolio. While the combination of knurling and hexagon is already established for unshielded versions, it is now extended to shielded M12 connectors.
