Number of contacts
This indicates the number of contacts the connector has.
Locking Type
The locking system describes how the pin and socket elements are joined.
  • M25The connectors can be screwed together to secure the connection. M stands for metric thread and the number stands for the external diameter.
Degree of protection
The degrees of protection according to IEC60529 apply to various articles and provide information on protection against the intrusion of water and solids such as dust.
  • IP40Protects against contact with tools, wires and other similar objects of Ø > 1 mm and against the intrusion of foreign bodies of Ø > 1 mm. Does not protect against water.
Version
The choice of version allows the definition of certain technical specifications – for example the type of cable outlet or the size.
Connector Type
Connectors are differentiated by installation type: those that are mounted in a device housing (panel mount) and those that are attached to cables.
  • Cable mountingConnectors with cable already moulded or for self-assembly.
  • Housing assemblyConnectors that can be mounted to device housings. These can be fixed by means of a locking nut or be screwed in (requires a threaded hole).
Shielded Option
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) means that a connector is shielded or shieldable. This is required when it is necessary to protect the signals or data conducted by the connector, as well as to protect external devices, from disturbance due to electromagnetic effects.

M25 Power connector IP40

691 series connectors are available in both cable and flange versions and have an M25 screw locking mechanism and a solder connection. They comply with protection class IP40 with an operating temperature range from -40 ⁰C to +85 ⁰C. These connectors are available with 3 to 12 contacts with a rated current of 5 A (125 V) and 10 A (250 V) depending on the number. The diameter of the cable connector/cable socket is 28 mm, the flange version has a diameter of 42.5 mm. Both are shieldable.
